Marinelli Bend

A headseat with the legs extended, performed while supported only by a mouth grip at the top of a short post. The post of this mouthpiece may be obscured for aesthetic reasons.

Frequently performed as part of a Equilibrium Act.

This pose can be “doubled” and “tripled” by additional performers preforming backbend handstands on top of the performer using the mouthpiece.

From contortionist and international theatrical agent H. B. Marinelli (1864-1924)
