A Backbend (of varying intensity) variant of a somersault.

To start, the proformer lays on their chest, then raises it with their arms, arching backwards. The chest is allowed to fall forward, and while it falls, the legs are kicked up, trying to remain in s semi-circle. But the time the feet fit the floor in front of the head, the arms are in position to push to chest off the floor, adding momentum to the next revolution.

Another variant starts with kneeling on the knees. This is the start recognized by Guinness.

Another, more compact, variant starts in a cheststand, with the arm push-off providing the initial momentum - though the “arc” of the body is usually also distorted as it moves, to conserve momentum.

Similar to a rollover, except is does not start or end while standing.
