Names are usually Sanskrit based - a ancient default, like Latin and Greek are to Europe - but pretty nobody speaks that as a first language.
The common language - past Hindi, Bengali, and many many many other languages with unconsolidated local dialects - is English. So Romanizations are to be found for everything. Usually, multiple Romanizations, because there are a lot of people to potentially make them.
So please get the Sanskrit, Romanization, AND translation when you can.
There are also frequent local judged competitions, the masters try to innovate and innovators try to master. And people don't know which side of the stage to enter and exit. It's life. Get names where you can.
