Handstand

अधोमुखवृक्षासन (Sandskrit, Adho Mukha Vrikshasana, “Downward-Facing Tree”)

A pose where the weight of the body is balanced on and supported by the hands.

In non-generic terms, arms and legs are straight, and in line with the trunk - there is no frontbend or backbend component. The arms may or may not be parallel, effecting the possible positions of the head.

A handstand can also be done with a single arm, the other arm usually raised to provide a counterbalance.
