बकसन (Sanskrit, Bakasana ) ककासन (Sanskrit, Kakasana, “Crow Pose”)
A straight-armed frontbend handstand where the lower back is raised above the head, bent knees are brought to the ribcage, and the knees rest on the outside of each respective upper arm.
The Crow pose variant is with slightly bent arms.
A twisted version, Parsva Bakasana, draws both legs together and rest them on one upper arm.
The “Half” version, Eka Pada Bakasana/Kakasana, has one leg extending back in line with the trunk, making it a wide tripod.
