A label put on any supposed elaboration on a [[triple fold]] [[backbend]]. While these elaborations frequently require a sufficintly advanced triple fold to perform, the elaborations generally would not be considered contortions if performed independent of the triple fold.

There is no single ideal quadruple fold, because such elaborations are directly based on the capabilities of the artist performing them; thus, this term is likely to remain intentionally ambiguous.

Shoulder positioning might qualify for not being a triple fold; mere arm positioning would not; even so, it should be considered nondescriptive hyperbole.
