A standing pose, A [[Front split]] with a [[backbend]]. The performer balances on the front leg, and backbend towards the rear leg, and has caught the leg in their hands. The raised leg is as straight as possible at the knee.

A [[poses/Scorpion]] is similar, but the raised leg has its knee bent significantly.


A Floor Needle is the same pose inverted; instead of the weight being supported by the legs, it is supported in a partial [[cheststand]].
