===== Butterfly Lift =====

A counterweight system used during [[concept:Aerial]] acts, similar to that used in elevators, to assist in raising the performer to an appropriate height form the floor.

The counterweight provides a similar force to the weight of the performer, making it possible to raise the performer with relatively less effort than their weight would require.
